Virtual Food Classes

As a result of COVID19, York Region Food Network has taken our cooking and food skill classes online so people can build community connections and learn new food skills from the comfort and safety of their own homes.
Program Lead Chantal McCallum

In-Person Food Classes

Cooking can transform communities by giving people opportunities to come together to learn, cook, share knowledge and experiences, and enjoy meals that are delicious, nutritious and culturally diverse.
We offer a range of cooking classes, designed to build and share food skills, build community connections and reduce social isolation.
Classes are offered at our public-health inspected kitchen in Aurora, ON and in collaboration with community partners (e.g. community centres, faith-based organizations, schools) across the Region.
All classes are free of charge. Participants must register.
Program Lead Chantal McCallum and Maxine Knight
