Good Food Box Update During COVID-19
What to expect from YRFN’s Good Food Boxes
- We are expanding our Good Food Box program and our produce boxes will now be available for pickup on the 1st and 3rd Wednesdays of each month. Orders and payment are due one week prior to each pickup date.
- Contents of our Good Food Box will change each time. We aim to have 7-8 different types of veggies and fruit in each box.
- These are unusual times and although we can’t typically offer Good Food Box delivery, we know that there are a lot of people right now who cannot leave their house for a variety of reasons. If you need your Good Food Box delivered, please reach out to us at email@example.com before ordering to discuss options.
We have two Good Food Box pickup sites available. When ordering, please indicate where you will be picking up your order.
Pickup of the Good Food Box is available at York Region Food Network (350 Industrial Parkway S.) in Aurora. It is contactless pickup. When you arrive at our location, we’ll have signs directing you to our pickup door. From there we’ll load the box(es) into your trunk or backseat.
Pickup from our Aurora location will be available between 12:00pm and 6:00pm.
New pickup location!
Pickup of the Good Food Box is now also available at Ebenezer United Church (5000 Steeles Avenue East, Markham, ON L3R7B4).
Pickup from Ebenezer United Church will be available between 12:30pm and 2:00pm.
Gift a Box
So many of you have asked to gift Good Food Boxes to others in the community… so, we’ve set up an initiative to allow just that!
‘Gift a Box’ gives you the opportunity to purchase Good Food Boxes for members of the community facing heightened food insecurity. Far too many households in York Region are struggling with inadequate food access. ‘Gift a Box’ helps to get healthy, fresh produce onto tables across York Region.
